Earthyvox Vocal Ecology Workshops
Earthyvox was an idea that arrived in a flash just as my little lad fell asleep in my arms one afternoon between winter solstice and the new year – but which I’d probably been incubating for a while without realising.
These monthly Sunday courses reflect the specific qualities of the time of year, and we connect to the season around us as inspiration for creative voice/writing exercises and homework, specific voice/yoga exercises and group circle singing guided by me, with original song material and improvisations. Delighting in our Earth and our being alive here, and holding grief and joy in the balance.
Mud Club at Wildcat Wilderness in Catford
Another creative and incredibly supportive little community – and totally immersed in nature. I collaborate with the two women who run the sessions here in the reclaimed wilderness alongside the river Ravensbourne to run grown-up sessions of circle singing, foraged food and sometimes somatic work with the wonderful choreographer Rosie. We hold performances in the woodland and a lot of song writing which I bring to theparticipants.
Mother House Voices
A singing collective of parents and carers led by me at our art studios in Lewisham. We explore circle singing and free improvisation under a canopy of tiny kiddos.
